Drive belt is to tight
I replaced the drive clutch and belt on my 1983 marathon golf cart. Everything was working fine. All of a sudden when I step on the gas to start it the whole cart moves. All of sudden the belt is to tight. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

Re: Drive belt is to tight
Get a bigger drive belt it doesnt have to be the one it calls for.

If it was fine for a while, and then got tight on its own, I would say that the engine shifted. Either a mount broke, or something worse.

Re: Drive belt is to tight
That actually happened to me. I was thinking maybe it didn't have the right belt on it in the 1st place because it needed a clutch so they put on a smaller one.
