ok re checked my grounds, cleaned everything up and went to town with a volt meter
I used the negative post on the battery as my ground to the volt meter

Battery to positive post 12.6 volts
battery -> solenoid 12.6v
Other side of the solenoid when running 11.2 v
All of these measurements below are done when turning the cart over
Starter 10.8v
White wire on the coil 9.6v
red wire on the coil 1.3v
red \ white on pulser coil 1.3v
black wire on pulser coil .89v

I am now getting spark just for a split second when the gas is pushed down and then again when let up, i don't get constant spark.

What could i be missing??

I truly appreciate the input so far, I know this has been on and off with asking questions and trying to get this thing running.

Hello! I'm having the same issue as the OP first had. When pressing the pedal, the start/generator will not turn over. Here is what I've tested so far....

The battery is brand new. We tested the voltage to the starter/generator first. When I pressed the pedal, we would get 12v at the terminal on the starter generator. So I assumed the SG was bad and bought a brand new one. Hooked it all up and have the same issue. Won't turn over when you press the pedal even though we are getting 12v to the SG.

My Father is a small engine repair mech and this has him stumped.

Any thoughts?

If you have power to the proper terminal and a good ground it ought to spin for you... double check the routining on your connections and make sure you have a good ground... a good ground
