Default 1999 TXT starts cold looses spark after 5 seconds

I can start it cold, run it about 50 ft and then it dies. let it sit for 15 mins and it does the same thing. I have done complete tune up, plugs wires, oil change, all new filters, fuel pump, took carburetor off and cleaned jets and bowl, adjusted valves, new coil, new CDI box (igniter), new pulsar coil and still problem persists. I lose spark, so I don't know if loosing spark is problem or cart dying causes cart to lose spark. Battery checks out 12.54. A blast of starter fluid in carburetor does not help start so I don't believe its fuel related. Also before this started, occasionally you would hit pedal, and nothing, completely dead, but depress pedal 4,5,6 times, then it would start and be fine, but that has stopped. She is a work cart at a driving range and we miss her dearly.

What happens when it dies?

Does the starter continue turning?

All those parts that you replaced, are the OEM or aftermarket?

Did you replace them all at the same time?

Is this the reason you replaced all of those parts?

Did replacing all of them make any difference at all?

Have you tried running a ground strap from the negative battery terminal directly to the plate where the ignitor and everything is mounted? It's common for rust to develop between the plate and the floor, and the ignitor gets its ground through that plate. When the rust kicks in, its got a poor ground connection and causes problems like this.

Since the starter continues to turn, it's not the solenoid.

Continue on with CP241's questions.

hi thanks for reply, yeah i didn't think it was the starter relay, i was getting 12v to it and 12v out, and it continued to turn over with no spark. also the new parts i don't believe were OEM. I didn't know when ordering them i shouldn't have gotten china junk. so actually maybe one of them is junk. as far as the ground plate goes actually i had taken it off and cleaned it up, and i took of a few of the other ground connections and cleaned them up too. Seeing as though cart is a daily driver at a driving range its been very frustrating not having it. I think I'm at the point, that sadly I am gonna have to bite the bullet and send it out to be looked at. I will post when issues is resolved. thanks for your time, appreciated
