test charging
I have a friend who has a late 70's or early 80's cart with internal S/G. I have never worked on one of these. It cranks fine but just will not charge. I did notice a block looking thing on under seat with four wires on it. Looks like the wires comes from inside the engine.
I am only trying to advise him as I don't plan on working on this thing. I done a google search and found one post referring to how to replace this block looking thing with a regulator but it didn't say which one. I do have one of these older voltage regulators that I removed from a 1989 cart that is not the solid state one. I think that is where it came from anyway. Anyone here ever had a charging problem on one of these old things and could offer advise for me to pass on to him. Thanks |
