1986 EZ GO, Won’t start
We bought a 1986 EZ GO gas golf cart. We drove it fine at the place we bought it. We got it off the trailer and it won’t start. Here’s the parts we were told were new; the carburetor, fuel pump and clutch. We checked everything over and found they had crossed the fuel line and took off the fuel filter. We bought a new fuel pump and fuel filter as they are the cheapest resolution. That did nothing to get it turned over so we sent the robins engine in to get looked at and the pistons were shot so we had it completely rebuilt (that took the shop 3 weeks due to lack of parts readily available). We just got it back on Thursday got it all put back to together we now have good compression yet no fuel is getting to the carburetor. My husband took the carburetor apart and cleaned it all out and nothing besides with ether he can get the engine to start, so we’re assuming the carburetor needs replaced now? He has since checked; fuel lines, ignition to the solenoid and other small components to make sure he wasn’t missing something. Help! My brain is moving at 100 mph and now Having this cart for over a month and never being able to take it to our campsite!
