48 volt charger help
the needle meter on my 48 volt charger does not work or click to start charging. but it still seems to be charging the batteries. is this crazy/ how can i tell if it is putting out any gharge or amps/.

Get a digital Volt meter at your local Car parts place , Lowe's, home depot.
disconnect charger, then check the voltage from the red "+" post on the first battery to the black "-" on the last battery, write this down should be around 50 Volts. Drive cart a few minutes then check again , and write it down. Now connect the charger and give it a few minutes to start , then check Voltage again should be 54 to 62 Volts. You should also hear batteries bubble occasionally if charger is left on for more than an hour. |

Carried it by friend who sets up golf carts. Replaced the relay behind n above the reset button. Works now.
