Where to start?
Was given a 2000 Club Car, put 6 new batteries in it, followed wiring diagrams from this site, cart will do nothing.
It has the V Guide according to the wiring diagram. I checked the battery pack in series and get 37.5 volts. Got around 18.8 v on the seloniod. Where do I start to see if it has bad componets? Thanks in advance for the help. |

Re: Where to start?
Welcome to bgw .....
When you step on the gas do you hear the solenoid clicking? If not you can jack it up and install a jumper cable across the two large solenoid terminals... then try the gas ...if she rolls the tires it's either a bad solenoid OR a bad solenoid activation circuit |

Re: Where to start?
No controller box, it has a key switch, F/R switch, Wiper switch, and Resistor Group.

Can you verify that the does have a resistor group and V-glide? Remove the cover from the V-glide. It is the black pie shaped box mounted to the frame under the seat. It has 3 clips on the cover..... See that the linkage is intack and the wiper arm moves across all of the copper lugs. Now test the micro switch inside the V-glide for continuity when key on ( in gear) and none when off. Also take 2 test leads 1 neg and 1 pos and touch them to the small terminals of the solenoid? Does it click? It should if it is good..... |

Re: Where to start?
No contunity in the switch in the middle of the V glide.
I removed the wires and it shows 37.6 volts. Linkage moves freely. How much voltage to put on seloniod? |

Re: Where to start?
The micro switch has no contunity, it is a 3 wire type switch witw wires on the top and bottom spades.
I put my voltmeter on the wires and got the 37 volts. If I jump the wires should the cart move? |

Re: Where to start?
The micro is an on/off switch 1 wire brings power in from the key? and other sends power out to activate the solenoid. Did you. the cart should be on blocks = no movement or somebody could get hurt....... the micro should close the solenoid and the speed wiper in the v-glide should then make the wheels turn
