Audree lots of times, these motors can be rebuilt for a lot less than (I think) you paid nivel for that motor. Check your private messages ..... |

Re: Is this motor the right one for my cart?
We need someone more familiar with Club Car sparkies here. Questions:
2005 Precedent - is this a regen cart or a series cart? Is the IQ system in use? Controller has been upgraded - to what? What controller is in the cart now? What voltage is this cart running? Audree, you can answer the second and third questions. If you have a digital camera post pix of the battery bay and components please. |

Ok so I know its a 48v cart, it has the original Curtis controller with a Programmed or Code upgrade.... it has a speed sensor in it, and not sure what the IQ system is, or how to know the diff between a regen or series?
Im gonna try and get some pics |

Re: Is this motor the right one for my cart?
From the BU website:
10-Spline 48-Volt Motor with 3.5 HP/3500 RPM/24 MPH for Non-Lifted Club Car Regen Models Details About this Product 10 spline 48-volt regen 3.5 HP @ 3,500 RPM 24 mph Will remove regen mode but retain anti-roll feature Looks like a Regen motor to me. The A1 A2 terminals are obvious, the F1 F2 terminals go to the S1 S2 terminals. Should be a direct fit. Perhaps the lack of a speed sensor is messing with the programming in the OEM controller which has been bumped up to the 19mph setting. If the 19mph setting was removed, then maybe the controller would allow the motor to run up to it's 3500 rpm rating. This is theory on my part as I'm an EZ-Go guy and don't know the CC systems very well. |
