Exclamation Electric EZGO. Won't Move - Grinding Noises

I have a 2005 electric 36v EZGO golf cart (serial #2254333). For the past few weeks it has been making grinding noises towards the rear while both accelerating and coasting. Today when going to drive it the cart wouldn't move, neither in reverse nor forward, and also makes an obnoxiously loud grinding noise.
Anything i can do to troubleshoot and pinpoint the problem?

Probably the infamous stripped hub. Get any hubcaps & stuff out of the way so you can see the spindle nut in the middle of the lug nuts. Watch the nut while someone presses gas pedal and holds brake, if nut is spinning while wheel is not, its brake drum/hub failed.

I have troubleshooted the hub; held down the brake and and accelerator while helper watched the nut, nut didn't move nor cart, nothing but loud grinding noises. Seems as if noise is coming from gear box perhaps.. What else can i do to pinpoint the problem?

Disconnect batteries, Pull motor and inspect the input shaft splines & motor coupler splines.

None i know of. Just label every wire removed from the motor so it goes back in the same place.
