best batterys for a new set
I have ezgo txt 48v. With an xct 400 controller. Currently has trojan. 6 8v. I am thinking I am going to have to replace the set. Drops to 35-39 on a minor Hill climb. I have the hydrolink currently and would like to keep. I'm in a wheelchair so looking down in each battery is impossible. What would be my best brand and models to go with. Just would like yalls input

Re: best batterys for a new set
well, "trojan hydrolink" is only designed for trojan batteries, and wont physically fit in the holes of many others (including US battery). Yes, they really changed the hole spacing on different brands .... that ought to help narrow down the search.

CG is right, every battery is different. I would put exactly what you have in there back in there.

Re: best batterys for a new set
Thanks all. I was also curious if going up to say the T890s would be worth the extra. Thanks all

Yeah. I'm not even sure what mine are equivalent to. They just say T-8V

Re: best batterys for a new set
.you have the lowest rated trojan 8v, the "DC8" = T-860. the T-875 or T-890 would both be an upgrade for you. your fill system would fit all three listed batteries.

One thing I have learned being on this site is listen to the people that give good advice and you just got some.Upgrading as suggested sounds great to me to.

Re: best batterys for a new set
Thank all. The guy I bought my cart from is suggesting the new trojan Rangers. Bang for the buck and long life. Thoughts? Thanks in advance
