Default All terrain Tires Question

We would like to upgrade to all terrain tires on our 89 EZGO cart. I do not plan on hill climbing or anything, but our driveway gravel is rough on the stock tires.

Most of the tires I find are 18x9.50X8. I'm concerned about steering issues with tire that wide. I have seen ATV/UTV sets out there consisting of 2-18X9.50X8 and 2-19X7.00X8 tires. The narrower tires on the front would be good but 1 inch taller is the question.
Will a set of those work okay on my cart with stock rims?

No idea on the monster mobile, it's all custom. I think the 18-9.5-8 would likely be ok, since they are only 1" wider than stock golf cart tires, and same in all other dimensions. But, this is all a guess, since we don't know what all on the fender & underside is different than a stock cart as it pertains to tire fitment.

1 inch taller should be fine... I typically go 2" taller with no lift.
I recently went with some snow tires on my industrial cart for the same reason (improved traction on loose footing) I found what I was looking for at tires-easy.com
