New motor or 36-48v upgrade? 93 Marathon
Hey y'all, you probably saw my post about a motor I was thinking of getting (16% more speed/10% more torque with stock controller). Decision time. My batteries are old and mismatched and the pack drains quick. I could replace those instead of the motor. If I did could I get 6 8v to get 48? If so, what needs to be upgraded to handle that voltage? I don't want to put crazy $$ into the cart but def need more speed. Thanks!!!

Controller and solenoid would have to be upgraded. Possibly FNR switch, depending on its condition.
