Lower a Lifted Onward 1-2"
First time cart owner, first time poster. I searched for this answer but struggled finding clear direction.
Is it relatively easy/possible to lower a factory lifted Onward 1-2"? Long story short, I bought a new beach house, had my realtor do a measurement in the garage andddddd they mismeasured the height and I now have an overhead HVAC duct issue interfering with my new 2020 lifted Onward. Seems I can - a. swap the cart for a traditional (lost $) b. move HVAC ducting (lead times are an issue) c. find someone here that can bail me out on lowering it enough (I def need 1", ideally 2") d. sell the house/find a different realtor/do my own measurements next time. Appreciate any help here for a newbie. Oh BTW - I live 3 hours away from the house so that makes this all super easy haha. |

Possibly find someone with a mig welder and take a 2" section out of the roof supports lowering the roof the 2" you need.

Or cut a sleeve in so that you could lower it when going in the parking area and raise it again once you are out running around.

Like Simicrintz said.
There is a post about this very thing. A member was unable to fit his cart into either his enclosed trailer or a toy hauler, can't remember which one, and the modification to the roof was the perfect answer. It's certainly the least expensive and if done correctly should not be very noticeable, if at all. Personally, I would not remove the lift kit. |

You offer a lot to the page and are cool; just trying to give credit where credit is due (it's hard to tell from behind a computer screen and with nothing but a screen name to go on!).
I can edit that back out if you want me to, dude (is that better :) |
