Default Charger only 2 amps after fuse and heat sink replacement

I had my cart plugged in and it had been charging. I turned it on to top it off and the fuse on the charger blew. I replaced the fuse and the heat sink/ diodes with new from Amazon. When I went to charge again the charger only puts out 2 amps.
My batteries are old and will be replaced next season.
It’s a Lester 8714 charger, 36 v
Most likely a battery problem? Why would a diode short out? I had one diode that had continuity both directions, that’s why I changed the heat sink.
Any ideas? Thank you!!
