First cart I had was a metal melex I put 2 xtra batteries in it ...... it was heavy; long story short. When the new owner loaded it in the Chevy the cables ripped out and the cart crunched the tailgate pretty bad >>>>

My Dad's ford has steel straps. those won't break. I didn't know about older models. I know of some other "things they call trucks" that had cables.

Arched ramps are what I use. The only thing is get some grip tape or something because when they get wet look out.

I've actually had that happen I was loading it when it was raining and punch the gas. Luckily my rear tires just made it on the tailgate before the ramp dropped. But I didn't get stopped in time and dented the hell out of the front of my bed. I totally agree with a trailer.
