Default EZGO Low Gear Differential

I was kicking around the idea of changing the differential in my lifted ezgo for a lower gear. I have 22" tires on it now and it is a 36 volt cart with a 350 amp controller. I read on BGW that everybody seems to change to 48 volt for more speed and power. I'm thinking of doing just that. The only thing about changing to 48 volt is the cost of what all it takes to do the change. I really don't care much about speed, I'm more concern with it being able to pull hills. Has anybody changed the differential to a lower gear and left the cart a 36 volt?

I've only kicked the idea around. Haven't done it. I camp at a camp ground on the side of a mountain. Speed limit is 5 MPH. The main need is hill climbing power. Once the budget allows it, I may do the gear swap to, iirc, 15:1.

I havn't regeared any cart. I just send the motor off for a rebuild for more torque. The factory setup is pretty weak once you add lift and bigger tires. Plus I would say it cheaper.
