How many battery hold downs are used on a 1983 ez-go?

I'm ordering new battery trays / racks and I figured I should also get the hold downs while I'm at it. I don't have any hold down hardware with this cart so I'm not sure what all I will need.
It looks like each plastic hold down block retains 3 batteries. If that is true I would need 2 blocks and 2 j-hooks and 2 nuts.
The description of the hooks say that they are only 4 3/8" long. I can't picture how they could reach the bottom of the tray and the top of the batteries. They seem too short.
Will that complete the factory style hold down system?

Does any one have any good pics of the hold down setup?

There is a tab on the main frame rail that is up pretty high where the 3 batteries meet and that is where the little J bolt hooks in...

I started on the racks today. I got the old rusty stuff removed. I'll try to get the new racks in this week.
