Exclamation 36v Club car ds New solenoids still clicking.

Just purchased a 1983 club car 36v. Upon purchasing I went ahead and replaced all five solenoids id using the same resistors. My son an I drove around on the golf cart for hours with problems. After parking and charging for a few hours we went to ride again and now we are getting clicking only from the solenoids. Any suggestions? Also just noticed that 5 of the batteries are 6 volt and 1 is 8 volt. Will this ultimately effect anything or should it be OK?

What kinda of solenoids did you buy,the solenoid closest to the steering wheel is the main that lets current flow to the other four.Check to see if if its working also check the the fordward reverse switch if its not getting a good connection will act like your in neutral.

I figured it out. The master solenoid although new was bad. Replaced it and all 5 micro switches and it runs like brand new. Thank you.

I have a 83 club car ds as well, all my soleniods are inline behind the batteries and click seems no power to the motor but it shows power to it, then anywheres from 30 sec. to about a min. it will decide to run. I tore the motor apart last winter brushes looked good cleaned up the armeture ran great but runs when it wants.

check all cables & wires .. give them a wiggly and a tug
check the f/r switch
recheck solenoids
micro switches do not go in and out
check motor ... maybe a dead spot ?
