Yes. The factory motor is only capable of so much, not to mention it's going to explode with 500 amps going to it. It's just not built to handle it. I recommend the MOT-A1 motor from Admiral. You'll get speeds around 22-24mph

Your making me jealous. Scotty sent me my new Alltrax controller last week but it's been too cold to work in the garage.

Come to Georgia. It's 70 degrees at 9 o clock at night. If that's too hot for you, just wait a couple days. The weekend before last it was 18... lol
