Upgraded F/R Switch
After the problems I had last weekend the kind people on this forum were able to help me diagnose my burned out F/R switch on my ‘97 DS. I have since gotten an upgraded switch.
I installed the switch last night and the cart is still a no go. Pack voltage is well above 50v and each battery is around 8.4v so it’s not the batteries. Solenoid clicks when the pedal is pushed so I’d doubt its the problem. The microswitches that came with the unit were configured differently, so I removed them and replaced with the existing ones after determining they each passed a continuity test. I think my problem is with the wiring of the actual switch. Per the attached wiring diagram I should have a wire to the side lug labeled M1 going to the controller. The issue is that the old switch did not have this wire. Any thoughts on how to get this thing up and running again? |

Re: Upgraded F/R Switch
Pictured is a CU 48v CC F&R switch.
The micro switches are the same as on a 48v CC. Is the cart 36 or 48 volts? |

Re: Upgraded F/R Switch
The micro switches should have been the same. Where do the big cables on your switch go?
Should be motor S1 and S2 and what else? |

Re: Upgraded F/R Switch
By big cables I assume those are the white and blue ones. Originally they went to posts on the switch on the side closest to the front and were inaccessible without removing the switch.
These cables are now attached to lugs on the bottom of the switch. White cable goes to A2 and blue goes to the M- lug on the controller. Hmmmm. Might have just answered the question? BTW the smaller cables that rotate with the switch go to S1 (orange) and S2 (blue). |
