If just riding around the yard our dogs will be on the seat and we just putt around. If out on the road or at speed they get put in the cargo bed that has a rubber floor mat and tall sides. For longer rides we toss a dog bed in the cargo bed. They need to be safe.

Non-skid seating surfaces are the least of my worries. Our dogs are long legged bird dogs who are top heavy like Dolly Parton with the legs of a six foot teenager. Golf cart seats are too shallow for their torso to allow getting all paws on the seat. The oldest lays her stomach on the seat and puts her front paws on the floorboard for stability. Its a mess when all three want a ride at once.

I tried having him ride in the back with the seat folded down and his favorite blanket back there. He wanted nothing to do with it and jumped out and climbed into the front seat. I swear that one of these days he is going to steal the cart as he watches every move I make like he's trying to learn how to start and drive it.

I have the black fur covers on mine. When they get dirty I toss them in the wash.

I hated that my girl didn’t like the cart as much as the Jeep. So i ordered a dog bed just for the back. She is much more comfy now and doesn’t get rattled around as much.
