So you’ll definitely need a solenoid with your controller upgrade. Also 4G or 2G cables is very important. Get it all from Scotty.

Way overbuilt. Turn the controller output down to 400 specs so you can use it safely with the stock motor.
PS the stock solenoid works well (recommended by alltrax) for the XCT300 (350 peak) controller. The 300 amp controller gives a significant boost in power and acceleration and any who has tried it knows that... with an FSIP speed motor gives 27-32 mph depending upon rpm setting and tire size.... again, the recommendations here are beyond what is needed. |

The whole bigger is better thing is not always true. Today's 500 Alltrax has higher peaks and sustained out that is equal to the older 600 amp controllers.
If it's not needed - your paying for something you won't use. That should be understood by people wanting to give advice. |
