D&D vs AMD Motor
Would like to finalize a decision between the two motors; searching through the site it’s seems that most are for the amd, but I haven’t seen a direct comparison between these two...
D&D Speed Motor (170-506...) vs AMD 7144 Background info: 2011 Precedent, xct400 alltrax controller, 10in wheels with standard tires. Recreational street use (asphalt and sidewalks), no hills. Was running top speed of 24mph with the stock motor. |

Re: D&D vs AMD Motor
I only have experience with D&D. That’s always what I’ve bought. Nothing bad to say.

Re: D&D vs AMD Motor
We will need a complete part # for the D&D motor you want to compare.

Re: D&D vs AMD Motor
Comparing specs I would go with the AMD 7144. This is based on the HP rating alone. D&D specs their motor at 9.1 HP peak. Peak Hp is the amount of HP the motor will produce right before it go up in a ball of fire. AMD specs their usable hp at 7 which means the peak HP is around 12-14. In carts as in cars HP is everything
Disclaimer: I use a AMD7144 in my cart. My 2¢ |

Re: D&D vs AMD Motor
Only used one D&D and it was on a friends and AMD is more so a stock upgrade (and Walt showed the spec difference you can see) but to me they are better then the thin made GE motors, but NOTHING compared to the Plum Quick motors (The Bandit or the Executioner) and there is also the Admiral (Redhawk) line like the MOT-A2 (speed) and MOT-A4 (torque) and FSIP MOT-A3 (speed) so you may want expand your comparison - your choice.

What is the application...... what's right for one cart or use is not necessarily right for another.
