Default 1993 Club Car 36v, which controller

I have a 1993 Club Car DS 36v cart and my factory Curtis 1204-015
Controller is fried and not a rebuild candidate. Low budget cart so looking for an inexpensive, used replacement controller. There are several on EBay that have the same specs (36-48v, 275A, 0-5 throttle). If the operating specs are the same, does it matter what the last three digits are after 1204? Example, will a 1204-401 work? Thank you in advance!

The Alltrax SR-48300 will work great. It even lines up with the original mounting holes. You just need longer bolts. It can be programmed for your throttle style.

I have a working 1204-015 I am getting rid of. I just converted to 48V. Send me a PM if you are interested.

I am interested in your controller. But apparently as a new member, I do not have access or rights to PM.

How do you program the controller?

David will pre-program this controller for you. No user programming is needed.

Thank you Scotty,

As Scotty said, If you let us know what you're installing it on, we'll program it for your application. An Alltrax SR series controller is essentially a universal controller for any series-drive cart. The throttle programming is what makes it unique. All we'd have to do to make it work on your cart is set the throttle mode to 0-5K and send it your way.

Digging up this old post to find the answer to the original question. If the operating specs are the same, does it matter what the last three digits are after 1204? Example, will a 1204-401 work in place of 1204-015? Also what if you wanted more power, could you step up to one that is more amps but same throttle?
