I saw one on a derent wiring scematic but ours is different. Restarted is not getting hot how do you make sure the solenoid is pulling. It has power on both sides with key on or off

There is still a micro sw inside it. Make sure it's opening and closing with the throttle.

We eliminated the solenoid it's fine. Whe n we pull the lever away from the contacts in the potentiometer it run like he'll so the micro switch could be it. Can that be replaced with out replacing the whole assembly

If the solenoid energizes the sw in the multi step is ok. I don't know anything about them but I've read here that there is some adjustment in them.

Wiz, you have a 2000, 36 volt resistor cart right? Are you sure you are not pressing the contacts in the V-Glide closer?
