checking solenoid
I have normal voltage across the small terminals and the solenoid clicks. What voltage should I get across the large terminals after the solenoid clicks?
thanks |

Re: checking solenoid
Pack voltage from the negative of the pack to the controller side of the solenoid.

Re: checking solenoid
But if you have a precharge resistor installed (and you probably will) you will receive within ~.5 to ~1 volt of pack voltage and it can fool you. Be sure to measure the battery side of the solenoid first, then after it clicks, measure the controller side as Luke described above. (You can also measure the controller side large stud before and after you hear the click and you should get a .5 to 1 volt increase after the click)
You should get the same voltage as your pack voltage which will probably be ~50.x volts based on your charge level and pack condition. |
