Default 2008 Club Car DS Rotational Motor Squeal when Cold Only

Lurker finally posting. I have a 2008 Club Car DS 48V IQ cart that squeals for about the first 8 minutes of run time. It does follow the carts speed and is much louder when the regen brake kicks in. It does this until warm and then completely goes away. It sounds like dry rubber against metal. I have read about the centering kits but not sure if thats what I need to be chasing. Speed is fine and it doesn't growl like a bad bearing but I am fairly new to carts. Trying to get to the deer stand with a squeaky cart is not working! Any help would be much appreciated!

It still could be the motor bearing as it is cold. Could also be motor brushes that are making the noise. Best thing to do is pull it off and apart for inspection. Really easy to do....

After listening to it again this afternoon I am leaning towards brushes. Any fix or time to replace?

Are you sure it's not the brake shoes rubbing?

You would have to pull it apart and check the brushes and the bearing visually to be sure if anything is wrong in there.

Depends on the motor, but the IQ motor brushes are usually pretty expensive. Does this cart have bigger tires or lift kit? Using it for hunting and off-road stuff you might be better off getting a motor with better torque, but that would likely also require a new controller.
