Default What part is this?

I am in the middle of doing the speed and torque upgrade on my 2002 club car DS IQ 48volt cart . In the process of doing it I apperantly lost track of one black wires mounting location . The wire is connected to a rectangular box mounted on the frame rail next to the solenoid . I just need to know where that wire connects . This a factory part not part of upgrade kit

That is your 16v to 12v reducer. It combines two (2) batteries only for the 12 volt reduction for your accessories. It should be on the 2nd batteries Neg post from the drivers side. Point is you only want 16v (2 batteries) at the input to it.

You have brand new batteries, toss that 16-12 reducer in the scrap pile and get a real 48-12 reducer. Your batteries will thank you in the long run.

I did the speed and torque upgrade from buggies unlimited . Curtis Sepex controller with 400amp solenoid and honestly off hand don’t remember if it came with a 7.5 or the 10hp motor .
