Default D+D ES-58 Motor, Alltrax 48500, 22" Tires - Top Speed

Not sure if the speeds listed are for larger than stock tires..

What do you think the following combo would produce as far as top speed on the road

D+D ES-58 motor
Alltrax 500 amp controller
22" turf tires

Lifted '99 Club Car DS, stock rear end

Thanks in advance!

21-24mph depending on your battery pack

Typically the motor advertised speed should be for stock tires (18"). If using say a 22% taller tire then the top speed should also be expected to go 22% higher, given the battery pack, amperage delivery system, and motor are all of adequate size and good condition.

I have this same motor with 22" tires on a 48v series DS.

Real life experience with this motor speaking here.

21-24 mph depending on your battery pack is as close an answer you'll get. If your after speed, look elsewhere. If your after torque with decent speed, this motor will do it for you.

Been running mine for over 2 years with zero complaints.

Side note; with my lithium pack I've gotten it up to 26mph on flat pavement.

I guess with a torquey motor, and 500 amp controller, if I end up wanting extreme speed I could always change the gears out in the rear end.

My gut feeling is that I'll end up being happy with 22 mph and just driving the wheels off of it.

Series carts are the workhorses of the cart world. THey are strong and not fast. They can be made fast if you pour money into them.
If you want speed find yourself a sepex drive cart and you can be going faster for less.
