Default Worn motor brushes?

Still not sure if what the signs of worn motor brushes are. I have a 48V '00 CC DS {A0008-872803} It has the push button F&R switch and also a V-glide. It's extremely slow on take off in both forward and reverse and also doesn't have much power when it does finally get up to speed. I'm almost positive the motor has never been serviced. I've checked and the V-glide contacts are in great shape and the arm is making solid contact. Does this sound like motor brush wear? Or possibly something else? I know these were the bad years for CC's and the harnesses have sonic weld problems and was wondering if a resistance issue could be also be a culprit. Thanks in advance for the help

Regen 2 I guess... the first thing to check is the batteries. What’s the pack voltage and what’s the voltage under load?

Yes it's a Regen 2 and sorry I forgot to mention the batteries are good. I've load tested and none are dropping more than .5V under a load

Solenoid on drivers side not working. When it goes bad or does not work the coil will try to carry the load. It will get real hot.

Do this. connect both cables on the same post and unhook the speed sensor. If it works the solenoid is bad or not getting activated. It will not hurt anything to run the cart this way. It will run faster also.

Sounds legit...I'm not sure exactly what you mean by "connect both cables on the same post". Anyway to show a picture of what you mean by that? I'd hate to short something

Take both cables of the Solenoid with the coil on top and connect them to the same post (either one) on the solenoid.

You can also just run the cable from the Motor A2 post directly to the Controller A2 Terminal.

A (ultra-) sonic weld is a connector-less wire splice.
