Re: Wiring help/check 1985 club car
Sorry for the late post, tgif! Heh. So I took some more pics, I checked the small wires and I think they are same as your pic. I didn’t connect the wires to the first battery I just laid them next to it. Let me know any other angles or if anything else to take a pic of I’ll gladly do it. Thank you again for all your help!

Re: Wiring help/check 1985 club car
After looking at this diagram, is the yellow and red wire on the solenoids wrong? Would that have caused the sparking? I also was trying to look at the charger receptacle wiring, but it’s kinda confusing so I’m not confident I have that wired correctly with the fuse.

Re: Wiring help/check 1985 club car
The wiring that can be seen looks correct, the solenoid small posts don't have polarity.
The charger receptacle fuse is in line with the positive blade, that looks correct too. Make sure the cables on the motor are on the correct posts as well, visually follow them to FNR and battery. Was the FNR engaged when You connected the cables last time? |

Re: Wiring help/check 1985 club car
If everything looks good I’ll give it a try again tomorrow morning. Thanks for all the help Sergio! I am not 100% if it was engaged accidentally before I connected the cables, so this time I’ll make sure it’s on neutral for sure and try again. Thank you!

Re: Wiring help/check 1985 club car
I looked pretty funny trying to attach the wire awaiting a firework show lol. Good news no sparks! I must have had the switch engaged before cause it connected just fine. ;) thank you! The cart unfortunately wouldn’t move though so I guess you fix one thing and something else happens lol.. I hear a click, then another noise like it wants to go but it doesn’t budge. Same for f and r. That would most likely be a solenoid problem right? Thanks again for all your help.

Re: Wiring help/check 1985 club car
I did not, but I definitely could give it a try. I have no idea what to do exactly though, is it the s1 cable or the one with arrow? And I just take it off and touch the long bar going across solenoids? Thank you
