![]() I hate to step on your toes Roady...
![]() but, the "Intellilock" rear ends are for electrics only!!! The Carryall 272 is the only CC that has a locking differential, and apperently it's 7" wider then the stock DS axle! I. also have been looking into a locking diff... and refuse to go the BU way... and I'm not much of a "Fab" kind of guy, so I'll just keep what I have! as for the welding... that would be the next option... |

![]() Well aint I the smurt one. LOL! I always have electrics on my mind. Sorry for the mis-information. I would rather weld it than buy one from BU.

![]() I have the Bu traction control, and I am not impressed. does it help in the mud? a little bit but not $300 plus worth. When you really need it you have to shift your body wheight around to make it work right. And they say it has replaceable parts, I reckon so, and the parts their talking about are two slip disk that looks like they are made out the same thing as the little cutting wheals that come with a dremel tool, the ones that shatter so easy. bottom line is if I had it to do over, that money would go into my big block savings account.

![]() Just for reference..... When I was shopping around for a replacment locker rear for my 272 they are not that abundant. I found a few that had been reconditioned for $675 plus shipping. Besides the width difference the 272 has hydraulic brakes. Not sure how easy it is to convert them to cable brakes if you have to.
