Default Converting an Electric Cushman to Gas

I've just acquired this cart with its wiring all hacked up. I would rather convert it into a Gas cart. Any ideas?

Thanks!

Simon

Welcome to BGW

If you want a gas cart the absolute BEST IDEA anyone can give you is to sell that one and get a gas golf cart. Unless you have all the parts laying around it's going to get into your pocketbook real quick. You will also need to be real good at fabricating. Look towards your local dealer to see if they have any junk laying out back you can go through. If you can find a GOOD REAR transaxle that will be half the battle. Be prepaid to spend some cash though. Thats my $0.02. Good luck with your project!

I am not afraid of fabricating and actually look forward to a little cutting here, a little there, and of course, welding it all back together again!

I've just come out of a four year restoration on my other project, so the Cushman will be my "cheaper" project I just can't sit still

My 2cents, if you want to do something you should look for a quad that was rolled and transplant the power train. Power and reverse. You could go all the way and add air and be the envy at the dunes

Simon, The 6 looks great. I wouldnt hate it if you posted more pics of it The 6 is one of my favs. When I was younger I had a TR3. It was fun, but completely foolish for my chosen climate.

Tr3 = knuckle dragger, what a rush going through the gears with that stubby shifter.

Stubby shifter, huge steering wheel. Real fun to drive if your into that

Mine never got completely finished, but I had it for 4 years and sold it for more than I had into it

Here's one where all my money went... I guess my 6 could be considered a cart. Sure drives like a go-kart!

How do you cartwheel a tr3? !!
