97 TXT Starting issues
Alright I could really use some help here please. I have completely rebuilt my 350 motor and bored it out .25mm over. The problem I am having is once we try to start the motor it just sounds bogged down and turns and turns and the plugs are bone dry. If we unhook the throttle linkage to the carburetor it starts and runs awesome for about 2 minutes and then it quits running. I have tried a new carburetor, triple check the valves, and triple checked the timing but to no avail. I have 130 psi on both pistons. Any help would be great!

Re: 97 TXT Starting issues
I would have advised you to check the float level of your carb but then you said you have just replaced the carb. Still, check the float level on the new one.

Re: 97 TXT Starting issues
I will check that. It almost seems like timing. I am not totally sure the pulley on the bottom on the timing belt is the correct one. So maybe that has something to do with it.

Re: 97 TXT Starting issues
It will as long as I disconnect the linkage to the carb and let it turn over a few times. Once it gets turned over I then can manually press the throttle linkage on the carb and it will wind up full speed. Otherwise it will never start.

Re: 97 TXT Starting issues
We are starting to think that maybe its sparking to early. When I took off the flywheel nut I used a screw driver to try to keep the flywheel from moving and ended up breaking a piece off that goes under the pulsar coil. So I used some quick putty steal and re made the piece that broke off. Well I am thinking that maybe my problem.
