Re: Alltrax upgrade no power, solenoid issue? and custom wrap
Good call on the usb cover...I better electrical tape it for now
Test drive went pretty good max MPH 29.2 on a stock motor! I think there was a little decline. |

Re: Alltrax upgrade no power, solenoid issue? and custom wrap
That’s a solid top speed on the stock motor for sure!! Make sure you don’t have the amps cranked all the way up to 500 because it will burn up the stock motor up much faster. I think they recommend 350 for the stock motor. I recently had a neighbor toast his stock motor cruising around everywhere with it cranked up to 500. His cart is an ‘09 with god knows what kind of abusive history but he killed it in 4 months. Here are a couple pics, it was royally f’d, broke one of the brushes clean off.

Re: Alltrax upgrade no power, solenoid issue? and custom wrap
I’ll double check ScottyB sent it pre-programmed for the stock motor but always good to make sure....unless I wanted a reason to HAVE to replace (upgrade) the motor.

Re: Alltrax upgrade no power, solenoid issue? and custom wrap
From my conversations with ScottyB and his posts about the Precedent he is running.
For the stock motor -Amp limit to 400 -rpm limit to 6000 With these limits, I am at 24mph on stock wheels. I ran it once at 500, and no rpm limit and I hit 29 and change. |

Re: Alltrax upgrade no power, solenoid issue? and custom wrap
RPMs are at 6000 but I see two max motoring amps
Max motoring armature amps (currently 450.1) Max motoring battery amps (currently 500) I’ll set both to 400 to be safe but should I do differently? Thanks Aaron |

Re: Alltrax upgrade no power, solenoid issue? and custom wrap
I am having the same issue as the original post but the solution didn’t work. I am set on nc/float. I have a 2008 CC precedent 48V but the odd thing is the 2 wires to the solenoid are blue/white and blue (not light blue - but this was like that with the stock solenoid) I have the diode on the small posts and the Regen diode on the large posts but I don’t hear the solenoid engage when I press the throttle. It just shutters in both forward and reverse. When i do this while looking at the alltrax software monitor the low batt error flag gets checked when pressing the throttle but the batteries are fully charged (assuming because the solenoid isn’t engaging). Any ideas what I’m doing wrong? Thanks in advance for any help
