Re: Clarafication on full charge
Ref that 51.3 peak volt after 12 hrs. rest ...... is it still necessary to remove any surface charge or does the 12hr rest negate that?
Can surface charge be removed by just making the solenoid click, or does it need to run for 5-10 seconds? I am just trying to get a good 'state of the batteries' ...... lol |

After breaking my batteries in and 24hrs post a full charge, my voltage read a little higher than 50.93v. I think it was around 52.3v IIRC. |

But, I would trust numbers after a waiting period of 24hrs off the charger better than the 1 mile run discharge. |

Re: Clarafication on full charge
Thanks NCPW. My knowledge on specifics about surface charge is lacking and just trying to true reading on batteries

Re: Clarafication on full charge
Biggest thing to remember is do not go under 50% SoC (personally, I never went under 75% SoC) and when not using the cart make sure it's on a charger.
Another biggie is maintenance. Keep those terminals clean, nuts tight and water levels at the proper height and you'll have years of use out of those batteries. Now that I'm thinking about all this work....Thank God I'm using lithium |

Re: Clarafication on full charge
NCPW is right about all that. Water levels, terminal maintenance, charge EVERYTIME and DON'T drop under the 50% SOC.
All of that helped me stretch out my T-105's from 2012 to 2018..... I drove my cart almost on a daily basis in warm weather or cold (low 20's) and I would have made 'em go to 2019 if I "had" to. |
