2014 Precedent Issue
Cart will run normal speed for 3-15 seconds then go into ultra slow "limp mode". When I switch it from run to town and back to run it will go normal speed for another 3-15 seconds. The cart is new to me and has done it for the 3 days I've owned it.
Batteries are good and charged with tight clean connections. Swapped MCOR with a known good one from my 2016 precedent and it still does it. Doing the speed sensor test the cart beeps and the reagen braking kicks in. What else could it possible be?? Pics of the culprit. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk |

Re: 2014 Precedent Issue
The two common things that cause a club car to go into limp mode is bad speed sensor or welded solenoid. Before you work on the cart put cart in tow and unhook batteries for working on cart electric.

Re: 2014 Precedent Issue
No, if the speed sensor dies it is dead and will not communicate to the controller. A bad magnet can mask the issue as it can be intermittent. So it may trigger the sensor in a slow roll test, but will not provide a constant pulse at speed. Pull it out and inspect it and you will know....

Re: 2014 Precedent Issue
Test your solenoid before you replace it. Tap it with a block of wood with the key off and see if you can feel it release.. Check for conuity after you remove large cables. If it does not show open it is welded.
