94 Club car rebuild

Hello BGW team,

New to the cart comunity and I recently picked up a project cart. Its a 94? Club car Villager I think and is 48v. It’s currently not running and I will need to get new batteries and wiring done. I’m located in Hawaii so parts are hard to get and even shipping things here is really pricey. I was wondering if anyone had a wiring diagram for this type of cart so I can see if everything is connected correctly or if it is missing any components as there are some lose wires areund. I’ll see if I can post some pictures in here using my phone. I was thinking about getting the full upgrade kit from Scotty b. But first want to see if I can get it running with what is already in here first. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you all 🤙🏽

Looks like you have a 1994, 48 volt series drive cart. IMO a very good platform for restoring. You will find a wiring diagram in the "stickies" here.

From the looks of it, the first thing I would do is remove the cables from the motor. Do this carefully using 2 wrenches to stabilize the studs as you loosen them. Soak them thoroughy with a product such PB Blaster and wire brush the threads before doing this.

I would then test the motor to see if it functions. Instructions on how to do this are easily found in here.

Be careful with those studs. If you break an insulator it will have to be disassembled to fix it. Take note of the motor markings A1, S1, A2, and S2. You will need to know which is where for testing the motor.

I wouldn’t waste your time on that motor being it has big tires and extra seating I would upgrade the drive

Agreed..... was thinking about getting the entire upgrade from Scotty b website. I’ll need to see what shipping will cost..... thank you!!
