Default RHOX Thermoplastic Cargo Box

As part of my 94 DS upgrade I installed a RHOX Thermoplastic Cargo box that said it was for a DS cart in my year range.
Then on the instructions I noticed that up to 2000 DS you can not re-install the top.
I am thinking I could modify my old struts some or possibly retrofit the entire roof and struts since I want to go all black anyway.

Anyone run into this and find another cart models roof that will interchange on the DS?

You just get a roof and struts from a 2000+.
Struts on those are steel and already painted black.

There are plenty of reasons why most aftermarket companies don't tell you what other parts from other years/ models of carts will or will not fit. Liability...

The roofs struts are different shape on the 2000.5+ carts but they attach to the cart the same way. I should have mentioned before, you do need the newer windshield strut/frame as well to mount the new style roof on.
There are other roof options out there, just posted that one as an example.

The good thing about the newer roofs is they are a lot more sturdy than the old ones, so they don't wobble around nearly as much.

Perfect, thanks, figured I needed front strut also, looks like Jasons has the best price. glad they are more durable, hopefully it will take the tree limbs better.

Keep an eye on your local craigslist for parts on the cheap.

I found a Precedent top for $30 that I fabed to fit my '99 roof struts. It's very sturdy, has grab handles and rigid enough to mount my 28" light bar on top with any vibrations.

IIRC, including the roof and aluminum hardware; it cost me less than $40 for a new roof.
