Default Battery charging wires??

Question....
Do the charging wires from the charge receptacle HAVE to go to the first and last battery in series OR can they go to ANY + or - terminal?

Thanks

Have to charge the entire pack. Some have the positive side go to a post on a fwd/rvs switch, then on to the pack +. Some have the negative side go to the On Board Computer, where it meets up with a cable from the pack -. You can not go to other + or - terminals in the middle of the battery pack or you will not charge all the batteries - and many chargers would not turn on because of the lowered voltage.

The charger charges whatever is between the + and the - charge leads.
All of the batteries in the pack must be in line between the + and - charge leads.

Just to add to this, if you put a 48V charger on less than the full pack you will over charge or do some damage, this is not recommended.

I'll add a little more to this. It won't work any other way than to main positive to main negative.

Since this is the Club Car section, if You have a working OBC in control of the charging, the negative wire cannot go to pack negative battery post.

You have to run the negative wire from the charger receptacle to the OBC.
