How to increase speed in 2004 Club Car DS
We just purchased a 2004 36v Club Car DS with the resistor coils sand v glide speed control. I went on one site and was told I needed to purchase a 440-Amp Navitas Controller Kit, but as I am researching to instal it, I do not think it is right.
So what do I actually need to increase from the 12 mph stock speed. We are mostly on flat roads with few hills to deal with. It is not lifted and has stock wheels/tires. Is there an upgrade v glide and resistor coil option, or do I need to get more stuff to make the Ana it’s controller to work? Thanks |

Read about why and how to convert from resistor coil drive to solid state here > https://www.cartsunlimited.net/why-c...-drive---.html
That article will explain how resistor coil drive works and how solid state works and why you need solid state to access all the performance upgrades. |

Read what Scotty says and consider that solid state upgrade. If you do it, then you can swap to 48V and see a real improvement. Gotta go solid state first though.

Thank you. I will read through what Scotty linked to. I am hoping I will find a kit already put together so I don’t need to piece anything together.

Re: How to increase speed in 2004 Club Car DS
Unfortunately the kits are all out of stock, I do not know enough to piece it together on my own without a specific list. There are parts available, but not kits. I emailed earlier, but does anyone know if they will be putting kits back together again to sell?

Re: How to increase speed in 2004 Club Car DS
I am waiting on a response from carts unlimited about the different options. Maybe I can get an answer here. What will the performance gains be with the c42 kit and the stock motor? What is the sw182 option and is it needed or what will it benefit? Or will I be happy with the gains of just the basic c42 kit for my flat roads around here?
