Default DS tierod question

2007 DS with all sports super sport lift kit. My tierod seems to be extended to the last couple of threads of each end. Is there a way to extend the length, either by shaft or end? or complete assembly? It drives fine, but I think I would feel safer with more than a couple of threads being used on each end. Just seems kind of important to me LOL

Have had this happen many times when lifting a cart. You may want to check all bushings and see if any need to be replaced. The wear (or absence) of bushings can definitely affect how the lift is situated.

Ok, I will check them out. I have noticed that the ball joint on the lower spindle on drivers side has definitely hit something in a previous life. It's on my immediate list of stuff to replace.

Most Ace Hardware stores carry some common sizes of those heim joints if you are needing a replacement.
Also, if the heim joints on the lift can all be moved in slightly, it will give you more threads to catch on the steering tie rods. For each turn of the heim joint you should get another turn on your tie rod. If doing this, be sure to adjust both top and bottom so as to not affect the camber.

Great info! I think I should start over with those joints all the way in. That's probably where I messed up.
