Yea....I have seen it done like that....or with a piece of small diameter rubber line on the nub. I have also seen the MCOR removed and the mounting holes slotted.
The zip tie works best for me, it restores 100% throttle...takes about 30sec. to do....and doesn't require taking anything apart.
With the tension/spring that is inside the MCOR, do you ever have an issue with where you cut the rod?

I thought about slotting the MCOR mounting holes before thinking of the simpler solution. I'd use the tie wrap too if I had more than one machine to fix. Since I was only working on my own cart, I was going for the max. No, I've had no problems so far.

Yeah...I guess both ways are easier than doing it the right way by replacing the aluminum blocks that the accelerator shaft runs through. Trying to get them off can be a pain, although it does restore throttle signal and takes all the play out of the accel. pedal, and can help the park brake work better.
I just can't believe that CC engineers didn't think of way to adjust it when there is just a little play in it.
