Default Club Car little "big-rig" build

I take my sons to 2-3 truck shows each year. The shows are large enough that golf carts are allowed at both and one allows UTVs. After seeing some of the golf cart mods with truck parts, my sons and I are going all out.

The mods I am discussing we have seen are smoke stacks added, lots of lights, air horns, and one company has a fiberglass molded hood look alike of their company trucks.

I am a woodworking teacher by trade, so 90% of this mod will be done with wood. I can do enough welding to be dangerous, but no real fabbing with metal or fiberglass skills.

Our goal is to have it reasonable by July 10th when we head for Davenport Iowa the the Trucker's Jamboree in Walcott Iowa. Things will get tweaked, evaluated, improved until the September Guilty by association truck show in Joplin Missouri.

The cart started it's life in 1986 as a club car carry all I. I chose it for the extended frame, since limos are hard to find and expensive. I was also apprehensive about electric only. It is easy to add gas at a show, but more difficult to charge a battery if needed.

This build is are hard one to find assistance or ideas for. I found a place in Indiana that builds them from the ground up. They would not sell any parts, complete builds only. $15-30k. I was just wanting simple things like stacks or air breathers made from stainless.

I have seen one custom build on youtube from a diesel shop that married 2 motors together to create tandem drive axles. Sorry don't have time, money or skills to accomplish.

I just used an axle from a garden tractor implement that had a square tube and then mounted a couple of flanges for pivot pins. I am going to cut the existing fender in half and piece it back together with a wood frame and some minor fiberglass resin and bondo.

As far as a trailer. That is in the future as a strong possibility, unfortunately it won't fit in the toy hauler with the tractor. only have a 16ft garage.
