Default 16 club car “growling”

Though I would make the 2016 club car precedent look a little better with a steeling 6 inch A frame lift along with tire upgrade. Complete the lift added the tires, family was ready for a test run. The noise in the rear of cart sounds like a growling or a wheel rubbing, all tires in rear of cart are clear from break cables and not touching the frame or plastic body. However when you accelerate this is when you hear the noise in the rear. Then as you pick up speed it is quickly not noticeable. Any information on this situation may help.

What kind of tires did you put on it? What pressure is in them?
Are they larger than the original tires?

I would jack the rear up and put it on jack stands and run it at a SLOW SPEED not full throttle or you could damage the motor. May be you can tell we’re the noise is coming from.

Just read your post again you said under accelerations so up on jack stands may not work.

Yes the tires I put on are a ten inch rim with 22. I’m just confused as to what has changed. When I slow down for turn then accelerate the noise is back then goes away once to speed

Are they All Terrain or Street Tires? What pressure are you running at?

All Terrain tires can be noisy and the noise level can vary with speed due to resonance.

Have your family sit on it and check the brake brackets again. I had a similar thing happen after replacing leaf springs and it took having my kids get in it while I was under it (in tow mode, of course) to see and correct it.
