Default Speed Sensor on DCS with Navitas & D&D motor

I've got a 96' EZGO TXT 36 volt DCS. I replaced the motor with a D&D upgrade that came with the speed sensor wiring. D&D told me I didn't need to hook the speed sensor up and it would work just fine. While installing the Navitas 440 amp controller, I've got appropriate voltage everywhere but the cart won't move. The controller instructions show a 6 pin connector location that requires an adapter for the speed sensor, but their site doesn't have this part listed.

Does the speed sensor need to be hooked up in order for this to work?

well I built a DCS a while back for my nephew....but I used a ALLTRAX conrtoller....not sure that makes a difference, BUT my instructions from Scotty (as I got my new motor from him as well) told me it was NOT to be hooked up.....and its not and everything works like a champ to this day.

The D&D motor will work with or without the speed sensor connected.

You can test the motor by connecting about 18V from the batteries directly to it to make sure it runs.

Digging up this thread. I've got a DCS cart here with a D&D motor in it. Just wanted to clarify if I can or can't throw this in a PDS cart with a Curtis 1268? It looks like a few people have added a speed sensor to a DCS motor or the D&D motor to be compatible.
