XCT 500 new install precharge error

Installed new XCT 500 and 2 guage cables on a 1995 ezgo DCS 36 volt. Wired correctly first time and runs down the road. If I put the tow run switch to run the controller starts up, hear fan cycle and solenoid click and runs fine. If I sit for about 30 seconds at anytime the controller starts blinking with the precharge error. If I turn key off and back on it will give same error from start. I have to turn tow switch back to tow and then run again to get a clean start of controller to steady green light again. Runs fine..stop for 30 seconds and precharge error and have to hit tow run switch again.

The pre-charge error means the KSI voltage varies from the B+ voltage by more than 5V, so break out your DVM and measure some voltages.

Connect the voltmeter's negative (black) test lead to the controller's B- terminal and with the cart ready to drive except for the pedal being pressed, measure the voltage on the controller's B+ terminal and on Pins 6, 9 and 10. They should all read the same voltage.

Then drive cart until you get the error and repeat the voltage measurements while the error code is flashing. Fix the one with the low voltage reading.

Was number 10 pin. Found it wasn't passing current through the tow run switch. Took the number 10 pin wire off one terminal of the switch and put it on the other terminal next to it that was passing 38 volts through and boom number 10 pin now getting power! No errors and comes on with key now. Thanks so much!
