Default DS 48v solenoid "click" barely loud enough to hear

Is a barely audible "click" in a solenoid sufficient? I always thought it should be pretty easily heard and distinctively metallic sounding.

I get no continuity when tests between the two large posts with the yellow) and red wires (OBC and Reverse buzzer) and the resistor removed.

Resistor tests at 242 ohms, close enough to the "approximately 205 ohms" called for by Service manual?

My diode tested no continuity either direction, so guess need replacement for that.

You may be hearing the microswitch inside the go peddle clicking.

Try again. The clicking you hear might not be the solenoid but the microswitch. So, the solenoid isn't closing.

Look under "Stickies" for testing Solenoid. Probably the problem.

Thanks, I do understand now, don't know why it wasn't clear to me on first reading!
