Default In storage for years, where to start?

I am now the unwitting owner of a 2003 Yamaha G22A which has been stored for years. The car is in good shape looks wise but will not start. The gas in the tank has pretty much evaporated, the battery is dead etc. I have purchased a tune up kit and battery. What else should I expect to do before making this car ready to sell?

You'll probably need to remove and clean the carb. G22 is a great cart.

Might need to lube the clutches, but get it running first.

I agree but backwards LOL, start by lubing the clutches as they'll likely need some "run-in" time to get working fully and correctly, replacing the belts (if they've sat that long they're shot), pull the carb and disassemble, clean all jets, etc, oil change, pull all ground points and clean all surfaces thoroughly, replace battery ... Personally I'd pull the starter apart and check the brushes, armature, connections, etc, ensure the fuel pump is working correctly, lines aren't dried out, etc, hit every lube point on the cart so You don't have any rude surprises on your inaugural run ...

And if You're flipping it, fairness dictates at least 20hrs of personal use to ensure no nasty surprises crop up for the new owner, unless it's being sold "As-Is, Where Is" for a fair price. Chances are You'll find creaks, rattles and uglies that should be easy to deal with, but can and will generally bring a buyer back to your door if they have to deal with them at anything less than a rock-bottom price.

Awesome idea! Sand the rust off the drum friction surface & check pad thickness & scuff pad.
