97 DS Starter/Generator Failures
My starter went out and I’ve replaced it five times. The terminals were backwards on the one that lasted 15 years, so I just wired the replacements up the same way, but the replacement starters only last between 2 and 10 months.
I’ve bought expensive and cheap starters and the same result has happened. Any guidance on how to resolve this issue? Thanks! |

Re: 97 DS Starter/Generator Failures
I dont have any experience with the starter/generator, but I've seen people state that the cheap ones just don't last.... Ive also seen where it's suggested to take it to a local motor shop and have them rebuild the original instead of buying cheap ones..
Maybe they can give you a little insight to why they are burning up so fast. Good luck Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk |
